For Dental Professionals
Working together to support patients with jaw pain and muscular tension.
TMD Remedy by CDS Clinics offers personalised care focused on jaw discomfort, facial tension and related head, neck and shoulder symptoms.
All treatment delivered by a GDC registrant.
I welcome enquiries from dental professionals who would like to refer a patient, discuss suitability or explore offering treatment within their practice.
How I can support your patients
Patients may benefit from treatment where they experience:
Jaw pain or tenderness around the muscles of mastication
Muscular discomfort associated with clenching or grinding
Facial tension and related head, neck or shoulder discomfort
Restricted jaw movement or discomfort with chewing
Muscular discomfort following dental treatment, once appropriate healing and dental review have taken place
My care focuses on the muscular component of these symptoms and is designed to complement your dental treatment plan. It does not replace dental diagnosis, appliance management or specialist assessment.
A personalised treatment approach:
Following a consultation and assessment, treatment may include:
Facial massage
Myofascial and trigger point release
Clinical intraoral muscle release techniques
Medical acupuncture
Practical self-care advice and ongoing review
Acupuncture is optional. Techniques are selected according to the patient’s needs, medical history, preferences and consent.
How to refer a patient:
1. Discuss the option with your patient
Explain why treatment of their jaw and facial muscules/symptoms can be useful alongside their dental care.
2. Ask the patient to book, or contact me first
Patients can book an Initial Consultation + Treatment directly through the website. A formal referral is not required.
If you would like to discuss suitability before recommending an appointment, please contact me.
3. Agree how we will communicate
With the patient’s permission, we can arrange an appropriate way to share relevant clinical information and updates.
What to include in a referral
Useful information includes the reason for referral, relevant symptoms and duration, dental findings, current treatment or appliances, recent procedures, and any precautions you would like me to consider.
The first appointment
The Initial Consultation + Treatment lasts 90 minutes and costs £115.
It includes a medical history review, discussion of symptoms and goals, assessment, and the first treatment where appropriate. Follow-up recommendations are based on the findings and reviewed according to the patient’s response.
